Tryouts for the 2023 season will be held on August 7 & 8. See the tryout schedule below. Tryout results will be posted on this website by 9:00 PM on August 8. Team placement will be determined by evaluation during summer camps, open gyms, workouts, and our two-day tryout. 

We have four competition levels at Westside: Freshmen, Reserve, JV, & Varsity. We are limited to a certain number of jerseys and have roster limits imposed by the NSAA. 

Our goal is always to take as many freshmen as is practical for playing time, jersey allocation, etc. If a freshmen does not make a volleyball team at Westside, we can get them connected with one of our other fall sports. 

We encourage all players to stay involved throughout the summer. We want to make sure players make the appropriate team! That is difficult to do when players only show up to tryouts. Players are evaluated regularly throughout the summer, during camps, and at the final tryout.

Tryout Day 1: All Grade Levels Tryout & Athletic Testing

All Grades 4-7 PM

Gym will Open at 3:30 PM

Athletic Testing 4-5:30, Volleyball Skills 5-6:30, Conditioning Test: 6:30-7:00 PM

Tuesday August 8, 2023

Tryout Day 2: All Team Announced.

All Grades Tryout from 4-7 PM

Varsity/JV Announced via Website by 8:00 PM

We will post a list of Freshmen/Reserve that will need to return Wednesday to be sorted onto teams.
